As the Office & Brand Manager for our clinic, as well as our sister clinic, Tates Creek Animal Hospital, Ashley is responsible for directing internal and external communication strategies.
You may recognize Ashley from her time at the Lexington Humane Society (LHS). After graduating from the University of Kentucky with a BS in Integrated Strategic Communications in 2009, she started working at LHS. After 11+ years in media, marketing, and fundraising in animal welfare, Ashley decided to make a slight career change. “I thoroughly enjoy working with the crew at the clinic. Not only are the staff passionate about what they do, but they are also phenomenal at what they do! As the premier vet clinic in Lexington, I am proud to be part of this family.”
Ashley has been a pet lover since day one. One of her fondest memories of childhood is playing at her grandparent’s farm carrying around baby bunnies in her overall pockets. Growing up in a home where a parent was allergic to animals, she had to settle for baby turtles and hermit crabs, which suited her until she got older.
“I remember asking my parents for a puppy every single Christmas and I always ended up with a stuffed animal instead. Which, looking back now, I completely understand how living furry animals would have been problematic! As soon as I left the house and ventured out on my own, I was gifted a precious Chihuahua pup and we were besties from the start. Her name was Ritzie Bella.”
Ashley lives in the Hamburg area of Lexington with her husband Jason, their daughter Emery Sloane, and their new pet, Burt, adopted from the Lexington Humane Society. Ashley and Jason met in 2009 and after a much-anticipated steak dinner promised by Jason, the rest was history, and the couple married in 2014.
